	USSR player, factory worker. International Grandmaster, 1963. International Master, 1961. Soviet Champion, 1963, 1965, 1966. Trivia by Bill Wall Three times Soviet champion. He was heading for the European Team Championship in Bath in 1973 when he was found dead of a heart attack in the Rossiya Hotel in Moscow.
